    Community-wide prayer service Sept. 9

    Carrollton Ministerial Association will hold a community-wide prayer service, 7 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the Family Worship Center, 2520 Hwy 227 in Carrollton.   • Church to hold Jubilee Service on Aug. 30

    The First Apostolic Church, 111 Third Street, in Carrollton, will hold only one service on Sunday, Aug. 30 at 2 p.m.  The Jubilee Service will consist of congregational and special songs of various types.  After the service there will be a time of fellowship. Everyone is cordially invited to this service.  

  • Hymn sing Sunday, Aug. 23

    Sanders Baptist Church, 245 McDaniel St. in Sanders will host its fourth Sunday hymn sing, Sunday, Aug. 23, at 6:30 p.m.

  • Stuck

     Have you ever looked around and thought, “How did I get here?”   Have you ever looked down and realized that you’re not moving.

    The definition of stuck is “immobile, embedded, fixed, a place of hopelessness.”

    That definition describes where our lives can be without clear direction and clarity on how to get “unstuck.”

    The Well Community Church in Milton celebrated its one-year anniversary of serving the Lord and the community on Aug. 2 . Pastor Tom Starks baptized 14 people, with more than 80 people in attendance to share in the celebration.

The institution of marriage is unquestionably good for individuals and society, and the health of our culture. Unfortunately, the standard of lifelong, traditional marriage as the foundation of family life in our country is under attack.

    Child and youth anger management classes

    The First Apostolic Church at 111 Third Street, in Carrollton, will be hosting a four part series Child and Youth Anger Management Class.  The theme is based on Angry Birds characters and will stress teachings that will hopefully make the young people of our area good citizens as they grow up.  The classes will be held each Wednesday in August; the next class will be Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 7 p.m.
