  • ‘Fr. Davy’s ministry among us has been one of empowerment’

“There is neither Jew nor Greek, neither slave nor free, not male and female, for you are one in Christ Jesus.”

Paul was the Apostle to the Gentiles – a missionary for Christ. He wrote these famous words to the Galatians, living in what is modern-day Turkey. Paul welcomed each new community he visited as equal with the Jews, who first heard the Good News. He lived among new people as his brothers and sisters, and so convinced them, as well as the early church leaders, that unity in diversity is the hallmark of life in Jesus Christ.

  • Even when life gets dark, God always keeps his promises to his people

God always keeps his promises. He has made a ton of them to his children throughout the scriptures and continues even today to do so.  A promise is the assurance that someone gives to another so they can know by faith, while they wait, the task will be completed.

  • Studies show dads have a big impact on daughters

Sunday marked my fourth Father’s Day as a father. I am starting to really like this holiday.

Numerous times on Sunday, my wife Katie said to our two daughters, “Today is Daddy’s day. What else should we do to make it special for him?” I admit that I could get used to that kind of treatment.

  • As summer arrives, enjoy its warmth and activities

Everyone will take advantage of the summer heat this June. The toasty sun is something everyone has been looking forward to.

And even though we’ve gone through the harsh winter, it’s amazing how in spring, there are cool chills still felt in the morning. But soon this weather will pass, and the summer sun will take over the forecasts.

  • Attending church helps get children off to a good start

Then people brought little children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked them.

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” When he had placed his hands on them, he went on from there. (Matthew 19:13-15)
