An unintended defining moment for basketball great Michael Jordan was his Hall of Fame speech a few years ago.

The Carrollton United Methodist Church organized “The Advent Musical Program.” In its 14th year, the program will feature performers from six different counties in two states, organizer Sharon Hunt said. Connie Goldman, D.M.A. and her husband, Dale, are among the performers. From Carroll County, the following people will be performing: Tony Gossum, Jennifer White, Mary Ellis Coombs, Vicky Meister and Brandon Stewart. Also from Carroll County are Rachel Hunt and Sara Clifton, who will be signing to “Breath of Heaven.”

Apostolic church sets Christmas Bazaar

First Apostolic Church, Pastor Sam Grathler, 111 Third Street in Carrollton will offer a Christmas Bazaar, Thursday, Nov. 17 through Friday, Nov. 18 beginning at 8 a.m. Homemade crafts, gifts, candies and baked goods will be for sale. For more information call 732-5160.
