  • The message: Enjoy his majesty

And beware lest you raise your eyes to heaven, and when you see the sun and the moon and the stars, all the host of heaven, you be drawn away and bow down to them and serve them, things that the Lord your God has allotted to all the peoples under the whole heaven. Deuteronomy 4:19 ESV

  • Jesus: the ultimate script flipper

It was a warm summer night in a town near Washington, D.C.

A group of friends sat around a backyard table eating dinner when a young man with a gun appeared and interrupted the dinner party, according to a 2016 NPR story.

“Give me your money or I’m going to start shooting,” he said, pointing the gun at one of the women.

The people believed him; however, no one had any money on them.

So, they started talking to the man, first trying to play on his guilt: “What would your mother think about you doing this?”

  • A religion and a relationship

If you are in a Christian circle you probably heard this phrase: “Christianity is not a religion, it’s a relationship”, and the syllogism that accompanied this saying: “religion is a man’s attempt to reach God, Christianity is God’s attempt to reach man; Therefore, Christianity is not a religion.” This became so familiar to us that we adopt it without thinking this saying has many inherent problems. I believe this type of reasoning is invalid for three reasons for being in contradiction:
