  • Don’t pack away Jesus

    Well…. It’s all over… Christmas, it came and went just like that! Did you have a good Christmas? I hope you had the opportunity to enjoy time with family and friends.

    I guess before long it will be time to put all the Christmas decorations and things away until next year. The tree starts looking old and the lights don’t seem to be so bright anymore after Christmas is over.

  • Community hosts Bible marathon Jan. 1-4

    Carroll County will be participating in the KY 120 United Bible Reading Marathon Jan. 1-4, sponsored by the Kentucky Prayer Focus.

    Volunteers from local churches and organizations will participate by starting to read Genesis, the first book of the Bible, at midnight Jan. 1, and read publicly and continuously in 15 minute segments until the last chapter of Revelation, finishing at 6 p.m. Jan. 4. The event will be held in a tent at the downtown courthouse lawn.

    Sanders Baptist hosts Christmas events

    Sanders Baptist Church will be hosting several events this month in celebration of Christ’s birth.

    The public is invited to all activities, and for additional information please call or text (502) 525-2070.

    Activities will start with Bethlehem Morning Cantata 11 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 18.  The adult choir will present readings and music under the direction of Ms. Ilene Gatwood, and The Christmas Story reading and refreshments for children will be from 4-6 p.m.  that day.

    The Carroll County Arts Board hosted a Community Church Christmas Concert Dec. 9, at the Carroll County Middle School.

  • Jesus’ birth still offer surprise to everyone 2000 years later

    You never know how a baby will turn out. Parents and grandparents have been wondering about babies since time began. It must have been that way when Jesus was born.  Luke 2:19 tells us that after the shepherds visited Mary and shared what the angels had said to them “but Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.”
