The next Cooking with Shawn class will be Thursday, January 20, at 6 p.m. at the Carroll County Extension Office. I’m not sure what the topic will be but it will be good. This will be the last class for a while as Shawn will be having surgery on his elbow (see what extreme whisking will do to you). Classes will begin again when the doctor says he can safely whisk again. I am just giving Shawn a hard time but give him high kudos for his cookbook. Ruth Ann has read it cover to cover and I can’t wait to try some of the recipes.

Thomas Butcher and Karen Brooks announce the upcoming wedding of their daughter, Tara Beth Butcher to Paul Michael Warnott, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Warnott.

The bride-elect is a 2005 graduate of Carroll County High School. She is a 2009 graduate of Lexington Community College, Department of Nursing. She is currently employed at UK Hospital in Lexington, Ky.

The Groom-to-be is a 2003 graduate of Henry Clay High School and is employed at UK Hospital in Lexington.
