  • Our Savior’s Nativity set for Nov. 30-Dec. 1

    The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 501 Main Street in Carrollton will be celebrating Our Savior’s Nativity, Friday, Nov. 30 from 6-8 p.m. and Saturday, Dec. 1, 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Come and experience Bethlehem and see what it might have looked like the night of the Savior’s birth.  Numerous nativity scenes will also be on display. If you would like to display your own nativity set please contact Sharon Graves, (502) 523-0663.  Cookies and hot chocolate will be served.

  • The Holiday Bazaar and Craft Show is 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at the National Guard Armory, 1828 U.S. Hwy. 227, Carrollton.

    Santa will be on site to have his picture taken with the little ones. All proceeds from booth rentals benefit the local deployed soldiers.

  • The family of a former chief X-ray technologist donated a plaque in his honor to Carroll County Memorial Hospital.

    Melissa (Marlette) Hazelwood presented the plaque to the hospital’s chief executive officer, Kanute Rarey, in honor of her father, Joe Marlette. 

    Marlette retired from the hospital in 1999 after a 36-year career. He started out as an orderly and a lab technician, eventually, rising to chief X-ray technologist in the radiology department.
