  • Nine teams made up of cancer survivors, families, caregivers, local faith-based groups, businesses and clubs walked 12 hours in the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Carroll County on June 15 and raised more than $86,000.

  • Carroll County Emergency Management will add six Community Outdoor Warning Systems (COWS) to alert residents and visitors of tornado sightings or warnings.

    COWS can save lives during severe weather when a tornado is sighted or a tornado warning is issued. The 19 COWS used by Carroll County Emergency Management could save your life and the lives of your family and friends. They will be activated as soon as a tornado is sighted in Carroll County or a tornado warning is issued by the National Weather Service for Carroll County.

  • The Commonwealth Quartet from Hendersonville, Tenn. Will be in concert at the Carrollton Christian Church on Fifth Street at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6. This makes the fourth year in a row that this southern gospel quartet will be making it’s way up here to sing for the community.

    Everyone is welcome to attend this free concert, but a free-will offering will be collected afterward. Also, refreshments will be served in the fellowship hall after the concert.
