  • Summer Games 2013 for Special Olympics Kentucky was held at Eastern Kentucky University May 31- June 2. The following are the results: 

  •  St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church invites the community to join in saying thank you and farewell to Father Kavungal Davy from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, June 23. in the parish hall. Everyone is welcome.

  • Three Rivers District Health Department and Wallace Veterinary Clinic will hold a  rabies vaccination clinic, Saturday, June 15, from 4-6 p.m. at Carroll County Health Center, 401 11th Street in Carrollton.

    The cost is $5 per animal.

    Other vaccinations and services may be available upon request for additional charges.

  • Country Music radio station Froggy 95.9 followed through on their promise to entertain the area with country music chart-topper Chris Cagle and share the proceeds with Kentuckiana area non-profits. More than 1,300 people attended the Chris Cagle show at Switzerland County High School on April 25 in Vevay, Ind.

    “We are thrilled with the way our listeners came together to enjoy a great night of music while helping our local charities,” WKID-FM general manager Adam Griffin said.

  • Relay For Life silent auction

    The annual Carroll County Relay For Life event will take place beginning at 7 p.m., Friday, June 21, at the Carroll County Fairgrounds. A silent auction will be part of the activities scheduled for the evening.
