  • Sanders Baptist Church will host its monthly hymn sing on Sunday, Aug. 25, at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

  • What a busy two weeks at the Kentucky State Fair.  Carroll County has already entered our 4-H exhibits, participated in the 4-H talent show and will be showing beef and swine in the livestock shows and competing in the Sewing Skill-a-thon later this week.

  • Genesis 8:20-21 says: “Then Noah built an altar to the Lord and, taking some of all the clean animals and clean birds, he sacrificed burnt offerings on it. The Lord smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart, ‘Never again will I curse the ground because of man, even though every inclination of his heart is evil from childhood. And never again will I destroy all living creatures as I have done.’”

    Forage species, as well as varieties within a species, vary significantly in yield, quality and stand persistence, which combine to greatly impact performance and economic return to the operation.

  • The 1963 Carroll County High School football team will be hosting a 50-year reunion at the Friday, Aug. 30, home football game against Henry County. The team, which won the NCKC championship that year, will be honored at halftime. All former players from 1962-1966 are invited to be a part of the celebration.
