  • The second Food Pantry Benefit will be held at 6 p.m. April 20 at the Carroll County Middle School Auditorium. The Infinite Realm will be hosting the gospel sing with performers from Christian Academy of Carrollton and local favorite, Helen Mumphrey as special guests. Admission is $10 for 18 and over, $5 for ages 6-17 and under 6 are free. $1 will be deducted from the admission price for each can of food brought in.

  • On April 2, the Carrollton Woman’s Club met at Pats’ Place on Seminary Street.

    Eight members said the pledge to the flag. Co-hostess Carolyn Stout called the meeting to order and introduced the program chairwoman Karen Claiborne. Claiborne introduced the club members to a Jeopardy type game concerning information about the papal election. Members were split into two very competitive teams each picking  questions from six categories. They learned a lot and had a fun time learning.

  • The third annual pageant, sponsored by Team Robbins, was held March 23 at Carroll County Middle School. The proceeds benefit the local Relay for Life.

  • General Butler State Resort Park will host its second Mudathlon® – a 3-mile, 40-obstacle course seeking as much natural and muddy terrain as possible – on Saturday, May 11.

  • Wednesday, April 10

    Family Community Pharmacy Program will screen potential clients from 9-11 a.m. at the Northern Ky. Community Action Center, Highland Avenue. Call (502) 732-5253.

    Carrollton Utilities Commissioners will hold a special commission meeting at noon at their offices on Sixth Street.

    Carrollton Rotary Club meets every Wednesday at noon at Butler Park lodge.

    AA Big Book study groups meets every Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Carrollton Christian Church, 310 Fifth St.

  • Relay For Life Team Robbins will be hosting a 5K run/walk Saturday, April 13 at the back entrance of General Butler State Resort Park. 

    Registration will begin at 8 a.m., with the race beginning at 9 a.m.  Pre-registration fee is $15. Registration fee on the day of the race will be $20.
