  • FRANKFORT, Ky. - The Kentucky Agricultural Development Board, chaired by Gov. Steve Beshear, approved $210,000 in Carroll County Agricultural Development Funds for a County Agricultural Investment Program (CAIP) at their January business meeting. The Carroll County Agriculture Development Fund Inc. submitted a proposal to the Carroll County Agricultural Development Council and the Kentucky Agricultural Development Board to provide cost-share incentives to area farmers.

  • Mark Allen Chapman will be appearing with his Gospel music ministry at the Carrollton Wesleyan Church, located at 216 Third Street in Carrollton on Saturday, Feb. 26, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 27 beginning at 10:30 a.m.

  • My son landed in a college course on Atheism last year. As you would expect, this raised his old man’s eyebrows. Having read my share of stormy essays and sympathetic voices of doubt, I wondered how a preacher’s kid would hear these voices. The good news is that he weathered the hostility of Marx, Freud, and Dawkins and is hopefully a bit more thoughtful about the thought required of faith.
