    EAGLE CREEK, Owen County, Ky.—Walter Roland Reichenbach Sr., 90, of Eagle Creek in Owen County, died, Nov. 23, 2013, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville.

    A prayer service was held Tuesday, Nov, 26, at Ratterman and Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road, Louisville. Burial was in the Buffalo Springs Cemetery in Stanford Ky.

  • Donald R. Shay, 71

    BEDFORD, Ky. - Donald R. Shay,  71, of Bedford, died, Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2013, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus, Ind.

    Funeral services were held, Friday, November 22, at Tandy–Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave. in Carrollton, Ky. Interment was in the Ghent Masonic Cemetery in Ghent, Ky.

    Survivors include his daughter, Melissa Lynn Gordon of Indianapolis, Ind.; a son, Thomas Richard Shay of Bedford; four grandchildren: and five great-grandchildren.

  • Thomas Shupert Webster, 74

    OWENTON, Ky.—Thomas Shupert Webster, 74, of Owenton died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Frankfort, Ky.

    Funeral services were Tuesday, Oct. 8, with Bro. Hardin Lowe presiding. A private burial was held at the Webster Family Cemetery.

    McDonald and New Funeral Home in Owenton was entrusted with the arrangements.

    Survivors include his wife, Phyllis Woosley Webster; a son, Gregory Webster; three grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and several step-great-grandchildren.

  • Leon Shostle, 90

    CARROLLTON, Ky.—Leon Shostle, 90, of Carrollton died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.

    No services have been scheduled. Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, 215 Fifth St., Carrollton, was entrusted with the arrangements.

    Surviviors include two sons, Dennis (Denese) Shostle of Carrollton and Kim (Elia) of California.

    His parents, Alex and Bertha Borowitz Shostle, preceded him in death.

    CARROLLTON, Ky.—James Steven Sanders, 64, of Carrollton died Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

    CARROLLTON, Ky. — Taylor Fox, 63, of Carrollton died Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.

    Funeral services are 11 a.m. today, Thursday, Oct. 10, at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., with the Rev. Emory Eldridge officiating. Interment will be in the English Cemetery in Carrollton.

    Survivors include three daughters, Angela Lewellyn, Stacy Fox and Lorena Courtney, all of Carrollton; a son, Taylor Allen Fox of Bedford, Ky.; 10 grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

    CARROLLTON, Ky.—Mary Kathleen Cannon, 67, of Carrollton died Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.

    Cremation was chosen by the family and a family  gathering will be held at a later date. Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave. in Carrollton, was entrusted with arrangements.

    Survivors include her son, Leonard Ray Cannon and his friend, Tonya, both of Carrollton, and one grandson.

  • Ethel Mae Spaulding Baker, 81

    CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. —Ethel Mae Spaulding Baker, 81, formerly of Carrollton, Ky. died  Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at Hudson Valley Hospital in Peekskill, N.Y.

    There will be a memorial service in Carrollton in the summer of 2013.

    Mrs. Baker was born on Jan. 2, 1931, to William Spaulding and Nell Case in Shelby County, Ky., and grew up in the Cropper and Christenberg communities. She graduated as valedictorian from Cropper High School.
