  • Clarence Thomas “Tom” Roberts, 72

    CARROLLTON, Ky.—Clarence Thomas “Tom” Roberts, 72, died, Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at his residence.

    Funeral services were held, Monday, Oct. 8 at Faith Community Baptist Church with the Rev. Randy Doll officiating. Interment was in the Indiana Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Madison, Ind. Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave. in Carrollton was entrusted with the arrangements.

  • Matthew Harvel Riley, 73

    CARROLLTON, Ky.—Matthew Harvel Riley, 73, formerly of Trimble County, died  Oct. 9, 2012, at Norton Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

    Graveside services were held Oct. 15,  at Port Royal Cemetery in Port Royal, Ky. with Brother Keith Miller officiating. Ransdell Funeral Home, 7101 Campbellsburg Rd. in Campbellsburg was in entrusted with the arrangements.

    Survivors include step children and step grandchildren.

    His parents, Dallas and Alice Anders Riley; and his wife Margaret Riley preceded him in death.

  • Robert Phillips, 71

    CAROLLTON, Ky.— Robert Phillips,  71, of Carrollton died, Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012.

    Funeral services will be held Friday, Oct. 26, at 11 a.m. at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church of the Living God, 124 Smith Lane, in Bedford with the Rev. Bobby Wade officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 25, from 5-8 p.m. at the  church. Interment will be in the Bedford Cemetery in Bedford. Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave. in Carrollton was entrusted with the arrangements.

  • Ronnie W. Kinman, 63

    MILTON, Ky.—Ronnie W. Kinman, 63, of Milton died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at his residence.

    Funeral services were held, Oct. 19, at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., in Carrollton with the Rev. Herb Kinman and the Rev. Pat Butcher officiating. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.

    Mr. Kinman was born in Gallatin County on Dec. 16, 1948, to Leona Shelton Kinman and the late Charles William “Bill” Kinman. He was of the Baptist faith.

  • Rosemary Lucille Byron Miller, 78

    LAGRANGE, Ky., Rosemary Lucille Byron Miller, 78, of LaGrange, formerly of Louisville, Ky., died Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012. at the Richwood in LaGrange.

    Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday, Oct. 25, at 11 a.m. at the St. John Catholic Church in Carrollton, Ky. with the Rev. Kavungal Davy officiating. Visitation will be from 5 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24, at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave. in Carrollton. Evening Prayers will be at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the St. John Catholic Cemetery in Carrollton.

  • Daisy E. Young Hughes, 63

    CARROLLTON, Ky.—Daisy E. Young Hughes, 63, of Carrollton, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012 at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

    Mrs. Hughes was born, Dec. 19, 1948, in Carrollton to the late Charles William and Rita Mary Piggott Young. She was of the Baptist faith.

  • Delories Ann Cobb, 77

    INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—Delories Ann Cobb, 77, of Indianapolis, formerly of Carrollton died Sunday, October 14, 2012.

    Funeral services were held Saturday, October 20, at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Stirling-Gerber Chapel, 5950 E. Thompson Rd. in Indianapolis.

    Survivors include her children, Wenona Kincaid, Johnny V. Cobb and James R. Cobb; eight grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

‘Newt’ Sanders, 86

    Eugene Newton “Newt” Sanders , 86, of Burlington died Friday, Oct. 12, 2012.

    He was born and raised in Sanders, Ky.

    Visitation is 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday, Oct. 17, at the Erlanger United Methodist Church, 31 Commonwealth Ave., in Erlanger, Ky. The funeral follows at noon at the church; burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Erlanger, with military honors. Linnemann Funeral Homes in Erlanger was entrusted with the arrangements.

  • Nelson Elwood 
O’Neal, 93

    Nelson Elwood O’Neal, 93, formerly of Carrollton, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, in Lady Lake.

    Mr. O’Neal was the son of Pierce and Nettie Rice O’Neal. He was born in Sanders, Ky., on Jan. 20, 1919.  He attended Gallatin County schools, graduating from Warsaw High School, and served in the U.S, Army in the South Pacific during World War II. 

    He was associated with the Kraft Company, managing the Gallatin, Tenn., Philadelphia Cream Cheese plant.  He also owned his own businesses in Carrollton, and in Gallatin, Tenn. 

  • Donna Charlene Marshall, 66

    Donna Charlene Marshall, 66, of Sanders died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at Green Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center in Carrollton.

    Funeral services were Saturday, Oct. 13, at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave. in Carrollton, with the Rev. Ron Tiller officiating. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.

    Her parents,  Charles William and Virginia Rose Salzman Marshall, preceded her in death.
