    Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13 at Providence Baptist Church, 51 Louden Lane, Campbellsburg.

    Friends may call after 5 p.m. today, Wednesday, Nov. 12 at Ransdell Funeral Home, Campbellsburg and after 11 a.m. until the time of the service Thursday at Providence Baptist Church.

    Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Providence Baptist Church Building Fund. Cards will be available at the funeral home or the church.

    BEDFORD, Ky, - Warnie Sparkman, 48 of Bedford died Monday, Nov. 10, 2008, at the Signature Health Care Center in Bedford.

    Funeral services were Thursday, Nov. 6, at Ransdell Funeral Home, Bedford, with the Rev. Louis Schuler officiating. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Bedford.

    Mr. Sparkman was born Oct. 2, 1960, in Hazard, Ky., to the late Byrum and Harriett (Hamilton) Sparkman.

    He worked for Nugent Sand and Gravel. He served in the National Guard for many years. His passion was woodworking; he made many pieces, including furniture.

  • Ralph Wilkerson Gibson, 86

    PARIS, Ky. – Ralph Wilkerson Gibson, 86, of Paris died Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, at his residence.

    Graveside services were Monday, Nov. 10, at the Paris Cemetery, with the Rev. Reggie Gentry officiating.

    Mr. Gibson was born Oct. 9, 1922, in Alton, Ky., to the late Ethel and Victor Gibson.

    He and his wife, Bee, were formerly from Carrollton, Ky.

    He graduated from Harrodsburg High School. He entered the U.S. Army and served in the Armed Services Tank Division in the Philippines during World War II.

  • Laurence R. “Larry” Jeffries, 74

    Laurence R. “Larry” Jeffries, 74, New Castle, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2008 at Baptist Hospital Northeast in LaGrange.

    He was the son of the late Newt W. and Ruthanna (Adams) Jeffries Jr.

    He was a farmer and retired as a teacher for the Henry County Schools. He was a United States Army veteran and a member of Point Pleasant Christian Church.

    CARROLLTON, Ky. – Ernestine Raisor Vories, 65, of Carrollton died Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2008, at Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.

    Services were Saturday, Nov. 8, at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., Carrollton with the Rev. Stan Reedy officiating. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.

    Mrs. Vories was born Nov. 24, 1942, in Carrollton to the late Earnest B. and Jeannette (Bladen) Raisor.

    MILTON, Ky. – Natalie Faye Tilley, 44, died Monday, Nov. 3, 2008, at King’s Daughter’s Hospital in Madison, Ind.

    Funeral services are 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 6, at Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, 213 Fifth St., Carrollton, Ky., with the Rev. Wayne Mahoney officiating.

    Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.

    Tilley was born July 28, 1964, in Carrollton to Noble Franklin and the late Trena Carol (Stockdale) Tilley. She graduated high school in Deerfield Beach, Fla.

    She was a homemaker.

    CARROLLTON, Ky. – Keith Patrick “Beefy” O’Connor, 23, of Carrollton died Oct. 23, 2008, at his residence.

    Funeral services were Thursday, Oct. 30, at Grahm-Dunn Funeral Home, 213 Fifth St., Carrollton, with the Rev. Kenny Hopper officiating. Burial was in Vevay Cemetery, Vevay, Ind.

    Mr. O’Connor was born in Dearborne County, Ind., Nov. 19, 1984, to Teressa Faye O’Connor Durbin and the late James Yeager.

    He was a landscaper for O’Connor Tree Service.
