    GHENT, Ky.—Kathy L. Alexander, 46, of Ghent, Ky., died on Saturday, April 7, 2012, at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton, Ky.

    Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 11 at 2 p.m. at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave in Carrollton with the Rev. Emory Eldridge officiating. Visitation will be from noon until time of service on Wednesday, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.

    A private graveside service was held. Ransdell Funeral Home in Bedford, Ky. was in charge of arrangements.

    Survivors include his daughters, Debbie (Mike) Gardner of Sanders, Ky. and Connie Aldridge of Carrollton, Ky.; step-sons, Gary Houchen of New Albany, Mel Houchen of Pekin, Ind.; step-daughter, Benita Houchen of Jeffersonville, Ind.; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

    Interment was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Owenton, Ky.

    Mrs. Taylor is survived by a son, Floyd Thomas Taylor of Campbellsburg, Ky.; three granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.

    Survivors include his wife, Martha Layton Cooley of Milton; a son, Darrell Cooley of Milton; a daughter, Helen Widmayer; and nine grandchildren.

    His parents, Dorie H. and Annie Ellen Hyden Cooley; a son, Robert Cooley Jr.; amd daughters, Marcella Handlous, Sue Cooley and Jennita Cooley preceded him in death.
