    TRIMBLE COUNTY, Ky.— Chester Calvert, 85, died Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at Signature Health Care in Bedford, Trimble County, Ky.

    As of press time Tuesday, funeral arrangements were pending at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave. in Carrollton.

    CARROLLTON, Ky. —Christopher S. Simmons. 28, of Carrollton died, Thursday, March 8, 2012, at his residence.

    Memorial services were held Monday March 12, at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., in Carrollton with the Rev. Lyn Powell officiating. The family chose cremation.

    Survivors include his parents, Thomas D. “Tommy” Simmons and Judy K. Forwood Simmons of Ghent, Ky.

  • Ronald C. “Ron/Ronnie” Oder, 76

    Ronald C. “Ron/Ronnie” Oder, 76, of Madison, Ind., died Friday, March 9, 2012, at the King’s Daughters’ Hospital in Madison.

    Funeral Services were held on Tuesday, March 13, at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave. in Carrollton with the Rev. Keith Miller Officiating. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.

    Survivors include his daughter, Louisa Oder of Walton, Ky.; a son, Robert Ryan Oder of Indianapolis, Ind.; and five grandchildren.

  • Dorothy Abbott King, 78

    WILLIAMSTOWN, Ky.—Dorothy Abbott King, 78, of Williamstown, formerly of Carrollton, Ky., died Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center of Florence, in Florence, Ky.

    Funeral services were held Monday, March 12 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 North Main St., Williamstown, Ky.  Interment was in the Carrollton IOOF Cemetery in Carrollton.

    Survivors include a daughter, Wanda Williams of Williamstown.

    Her parents, Buell Dixon and Roberta Wright Abbott and her husband, Wilburn Arthur King preceded her in death.

  • Gladys Marie Roberts Chapman Breeden, 80

    WORTHVILLE, Ky.— Gladys Marie Roberts Chapman Breeden, 80, of Worthville, died Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.

    Funeral services were held, Saturday, March 10, at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., in Carrollton with the Rev. Jerry Ison officiating. Interment was in the Oakland Cemetery in Glencoe, Ky.

    CARROLLTON, Ky.—Wanda L. Baker, 68, died Wednesday, March 7, 2012, at her residence in Carrollton.

    Memorial services were held Friday, March 9 at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., in Carrollton. The family chose cremation.

    Survivors include a daughter, Leslie Spring Tharp of Jeffersonville, Ind.; two sons, Desmus Baker Jr. of Charleston, Ind. and Berry Scott Baker of Jeffersonville; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

    CARROLLTON, Ky.— Herman Clifford “Cliff” Jasper, 88, of Carrollton died Sunday, March 11, 2012.

    A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon, Wednesday, March 14, at St. John’s Catholic Church, Fifth Street, in Carrollton with burial to follow in the Church’s cemetery.  Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., Carrollton, is in charge of arrangements.

    OWENTON, Ky.—Kathleen Morgan Reed, 90, of Owenton died Friday, March 3, 2012, at the New Horizon Medical Center in Owenton.

    Funeral services were held, Tuesday, March 6 at the Main Street location of McDonald & New Funeral Homes in Owenton. Interment was in the Wheatley Cemetery.

    Survivors include her daughters, Kay (Everett) Morgan Hawkins and Margo (Don) Karsner; 19 grandchildren and great grandchildren,

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Arvon T. and Virginia Reeve Morgan; and husband, Jimmy Reed.
