  • Willena Jean Jones

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Willena Jean Jones, 73, formerly of Carrollton died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

    Funeral services are 1 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 11, at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., Carrollton, with the Rev. Dave Kennedy officiating. Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.

    Survivors include a son, Paul Jones; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

  • Lenora Lucille Schmucker, 68

    Lenora Lucille Schmucker, 68, died Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at King’s Daughter’s Hospital in Madison Ind.

    Visitation was held Sunday,Sept 30, at the Graham-Dunn Funeral Home in Carrollton. Cremation was chosen by the family.

    Mrs. Schmucker was born in Scottsburg Ind. Nov. 27, 1943. She was the daughter of  the late William and Nannie Lewellyn Welch. She was a homemaker and employed by Walmart in the cash office for many years.

  • Elmer Curtis “Buddy” Perkins, 66

    SANDERS, Ky.—Elmer Curtis “Buddy” Perkins, 66, of Sanders died Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at his residence.

    Cremation has been chosen by the family with no services planned. Tandy-Eckler-Riley was entrusted with the arrangements.

  • Gerald Denny Morgan, 71

    CARROLLTON, Ky.—Gerald Denny Morgan, 71, of Carrollton died Friday, Sept. 27, 2012, at his residence.

    A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 6, at 2 p.m. at the Wood-Oakley Funeral Home in Milton, Ky. Visitation will be Saturday at 9 a.m. until time of service. Burial will be in the Moffett Cemetery.

    Survivors include his wife, Wanda Morgan; two sons, Gerald “Jerry” Morgan of Cincinnati, Ohio and Larry Morgan of West Chester, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and two step-grandsons.

  • Andrew Alvie McKinney, 84

    Andrew Alvie McKinney, 84, of Ghent died Sunday September 30, 2012, at Carroll County Memorial Hospital. 

    Visitation will be held Wednesday, Oct. 3 from 4-8 p.m. at the Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, 215 Fifth Street in Carrollton.  Funeral services will be held Thursday, Oct. 4 at 2 p.m. at the Open Door Baptist Church 1476 U S Hwy36 East in Carrollton.Burial will be in the Ghent Cemetery.

  • Herbert Wright, 69

    CARROLLTON, Ky.—Herbert Wright,69, of Carrollton, died, Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, in Louisville.

    Graveside services were held Tuesday, Sept. 25 at the Carrollton Cemetery. 

    Survivors include his daughter, Elizabeth Wright of Carrollton.

    His parents, Walter and Lizzie Russel Wright preceded him in death.

  • Ida Katherine Perkins, 88

    SANDERS, Ky.—Ida Katherine Perkins, 88, of Sanders, Ky. died Saturday, Sept. 22, 2012, at her residence.

    Funeral Services will be on Thursday, Sept. 27, at 2 p.m. at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., in Carrollton with the Rev. Chris White officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, September 26, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.

  • Anna Frances Taylor Grobmeier, 103

    CARROLLTON, Ky.—Anna Frances Taylor Grobmeier, 103, of Carrollton died Thursday, September 20, 2012, at the Green Valley Health and Rehab Center in Carrollton.

    Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, September 24 at the St. John Catholic Church in Carrollton with the Rev. Kavungal Davy officiating. Burial was in the St. John Catholic Cemetery.

    Survivors include her daughter, Florence A. Wilson of Carrollton; two granddaughters; and three great grandchildren.

  • Karen Beach Whaley, 47

    CARROLLTON, Ky.—Karen Beach Whaley, 47, died on Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2012, at her residence in Carrollton.

    Funeral Services were held Saturday, Sept. 15,  at the Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton with the Rev. Billy Bussell officiating. Graveside services were held on Saturday, Sept. 15,  at the New Bethel Cemetery in Verona, Ky.

    Survivors include her parents, Jarvis and Edla Benson Beach; a son, Derek House of Florence, Ky.; a daughter, Sonya Reckers of Gulf Port, Miss. and four grandchildren.

  • Daniel R. Stafford, 68

    CAMPBELLSBURG, Ky.—Daniel R. Stafford, 68, of Campbellsburg, died Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville.

    Graveside services were held Saturday, Sept. 15, at Port Royal Cemetery, with the Rev. Carl Rucker of Campbellsburg officiating. Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.

    Survivors include his daughter, Michelle Mefford of Carrollton.

    His parents, Raymond Earl and Heloise Ray Stafford preceded him in death.
