  • Jean B. Tumbrink, 91

    CARROLLTON, Ky.—Jean B. Tumbrink, 91, of Carrollton, died, Monday, September 10, 2012, at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.

    Mass of Christian Burial was held Saturday, Sept. 15, at  St. John Catholic Church in Carrollton with the Rev. Kavungal Davy officiating. Burial was in the St. John Catholic Cemetery. Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave. in Carrollton was entrusted with the arrangements.

  • Linda Tingle Gray Webster, 60

    LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Linda Tingle Gray Webster, 60, of Louisville, formerly of Madison, Ind., died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012, in an automobile accident in Henderson County, Tenn.

    Funeral services are 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, at Madison Assembly of God Church, 1636 Clifty Drive, Madison, Ind., with the Revs. Chris Kendall and Bill Maginn officiating. Interment will be in the Mount Carmel Cemetery near Milton, Ky.

  • Norman D. Tilley, 78

    MILTON, Ky. – Norman D. Tilley, 78, of Milton died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, at his home near Milton.

    Funeral services are 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at Morgan and Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison, Ind., with the Revs. Monty L. Mahoney and Chris White officiating. Interment will follow in the Moffett Cemetery in Milton.

    Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. until the service Friday at the funeral home.

  • Ruth Elaine Hartman, 98

    WILMORE, Ky. – Ruth Elaine Hartman, 98, died Friday, Aug. 31, 2012.

    Funeral services were Tuesday, Sept. 4, at Wilmore United Methodist Church, Clark Chapel. Betts and West Funeral Home in Nicholasville, Ky., was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Wilmore Cemetery.

    Mrs. Hartman was the daughter of the late Dr. T.M. and Kathyrn Hunt Anderson. She was employed in the Asbury College food services department in the 1960s, and Dixie Restaurant and Insko’s Christian Book Store in the 1970s.

  • Kent M.Willhoite, 56

    CARROLLTON, Ky.—Kent M. Willhoite, 56, of Carrollton, died Tuesday,  Sept. 3, 2012, at Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.

     A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at noon Friday, Sept. 7, at St. John Catholic Church in Carrollton, with the Rev. Kavungal Davy officiating.

    Visitation is 10 a.m.  Friday until the service at the church. Burial will be in the St. John Catholic Cemetery.

    Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home is assisting the family with  arrangements.

  • Bertha Jane Wilson Popp, 83

    WORTHVILLE, Ky. – Bertha Jane Wilson Popp, 83, of Worthville died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

    She was the daughter of the late George and Minne Frances Wilson, and the wife of the late Robert William Popp. 

    Funeral services were Saturday, Aug. 25, at the Pentecostals of Carrollton. Burial was in the Worthville Cemetery.

    Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, 213 Fifth St., Carrollton, assisted the family with arrangements.

  • Jenelle Carlisle Doekel, 70

    BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Jenelle Carlisle Doekel, 70, died, Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012, at her residence in Birmingham. No services are planned at this time; cremation was chosen by the decedent.  Mrs. Doekel was  born in Carrollton, Ky., Oct. 2, 1941.

    She earned a degree in education from Eastern Kentucky University and taught business curriculum at various high schools and business colleges. She retired as a child food nutritionist with the Vestavia Hills Board of Education in Birmingham. 

  • Robert F. Alexander, 92

    OWENTON, Ky. – Robert F. Alexander, 92, of Owenton died Sunday, Aug. 26, 2012, at the Owenton Manor in Owenton.

    Funeral services were Tuesday, Aug. 28, at the McDonald and New Funeral Home on Main Street in Owenton, with Bro. Craig Howard presiding. Burial was in the Squiresville Cemetery. 

    Survivors include a son, Jimmy (Belinda) Alexander of Worthville; six stepchildren, Joel, Brent, Melinda, Barbara, Rita and Danny; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren. 

  • James R. Perkins, 80

    WARSAW, Ky. — James R. Perkins, 80, of Warsaw, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2012, at his home.

  • George Robert Conway, 86

    CARROLLTON, Ky. – George Robert Conway, 86, of Carrollton died Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, at Baptist Hospital Northeast in La Grange, Ky.

    Funeral services were Saturday, Aug. 18, at the Carrollton Christian Church, with the Rev. Melvin LeCompte officiating. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.

    Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., Carrollton, was in chare of arrangements.
