    CARROLLTON, Ky. – Edward Baldwin, 59, of Carrollton died Tuesday, July 21, 2009, at Carroll County Memorial Hospital in Carrollton.

    Funeral services were held Thursday, July 23 at the Tandy, Eckler, Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave. in Carrollton, with Rev. Jonathan Haynes officiating. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.

    He was born March 12, 1950, in Carrollton, to the late Edward and Sammie Marie Sutherland Baldwin.

    He was a member of Carrollton Wesleyan Church and a self-employed construction worker.

  • Ruby Perry McManis, 81

    CARROLLTON, Ky. – Ruby Perry McManis, 81, of the Beehive in Carrollton, formerly of Turners Station, Ky. died July 5, 2009, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.

    Funeral services were held July 8 at Ransdell Funeral Home in Campbellsburg, Ky. with Revs. Wayne Perry, Carl Rucker and Donnie Lewis officiating. Burial was in the Turner Station Cemetery.

    Mrs. McManis was born Dec. 29, 1927, in Henry County to the late Arthur and Nora Tingle Perry. She was a member of Turners Station Christian Church.

    SANDERS, Ky. – Joan Kay Starker Franks, 70,  of Sanders died Thursday, July 16, 2009, at her residence.

    Memorial services were held Monday, July 20 at the Haskell and Morrison Funeral Home, 208 Ferry Street in Vevay, Ind. with Pastor Art Wilson officiating.

    She was born, Sept. 4, 1938, in Sanders, to the late Charles Barkley Starker and Leona Mefford Starker Bruestle.

    DURHAM, NC (formerly of Carrollton)- “JB” Jim Ben Bickers, 86, died Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at the Veteran’s Administration Hospital in Durham.

    Funeral services were held Monday, July 20 at Tandy, Eckler, Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave. in Carrollton. Burial was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.

    He was born April 26, 1923, in Carrollton to the late Thomas and Lillian Bickers.

    DUPONT, Ind.- Joshua Clayton Roberts, 26, of Dupont died Thursday, July 16, 2009, at Kings Daughters Hospital in Madison, Ind.

    Funeral services were Tuesday, July 21 at Collins Funeral Home, 465 McClain Ave. in Scottsburg, Ind., with Rev. Bern Kiser officiating. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery in Leota, Ind.

    He was born Nov. 13, 1982, in Mesquite, Texas, to Eva Louis Holwager  and the  late Randall Carl Roberts.

  • Bobby Chrisman Warfield, 64

    CARROLLTON, Ky. – Bobby Chrisman Warfield, 64, of Carrollton died Monday, July 13, 2009, at the Green Valley Health and Rehabilitation Center in Carrollton.

    Funeral services will be Thursday, July 16 at 11 a.m.  at the Tandy, Eckler, Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave., in Carrollton. Visitation will be tonight, Wednesday, July 15 from 5 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Carrollton.

    Mr. Warfield was born Oct. 3, 1944 in Owen County, Ky. to the late Joe and Carrie Traylor Warfield. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.

  • Cecil W. Greenwood, 68

    Cecil Wayne Greenwood, 68, of St. Charles, Mo., died Sunday, June 14, 2009.

    Services were Thursday, June 18, at St, Joseph Catholic Church in Cottleville.

    Mr. Greenwood was born July 10, 1940, in Madison, Ind., to the late Albert and Doris Greenwood. He married the former Fauna M. Boggs.

    Retired, he was a former employee of Boeing and McDonnell Douglas, for whom he traveled the world.

    Mrs. McManis was born Dec. 29, 1927, in Henry County to the late Arthur and Nora Tingle Perry.  She married Roy Lee McManis.

  • William Trigg Liter, 86

    William Trigg Liter, 86, Madison, Ind., died Saturday, July 11, 2009, at the home of his daughter in Huntington, W.Va.

    Services are 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, July 15, at Morgan and Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive, Madison, with Dr. Randy Jungkurth officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until time of service.

    Burial will be in Bayless Cemetery in Madison, Ind.
