 Motorists throughout the state may do a double-take this summer as the Kentucky State Police begin rolling out new cruisers with an updated look.

The agency is transitioning from the Ford Crown Victoria, which is no longer being manufactured, to the 2012 Chevrolet Caprice Police Patrol Vehicle (PPV).

KSP recently purchased 125 of the vehicles (100 in traditional gray and 25 in tan for use by its Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Division) to begin replacing its aging fleet of 2004-2010 model Fords.

 CARROLLTON, Ky.—Pat Breeden, 71, of Carrollton died, Thursday, June 14, 2012, at her residence.

Funeral services were held, Tuesday, June 19, at the Family Worship Center in Carrollton with the Rev. Pat Butcher officiating. Interment was in the Squiresville Cemetery in Perry Park, Ky. Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home, 809 Highland Ave. in Carrollton was in charge of arrangements.

 MADISON, Ind.—Michael Steven Dwight Monroe, 59, of Madison, died Thursday, June 7, 2012, at the Robley Rex Veterans Medical Center in Louisville, Ky.

Funeral services were held June 10 at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre, 325 Demaree Drive in Madison with Pastor Bill Maginn officiating.

Survivors include his sons M.D. (Kena) Monroe of Milton, Ky. and Mark Steven Monroe of Madison; his mother, Elizabeth “Betty” Ackerman Sullivan of Madison; his father, Junior “Dee” Dwight Monroe of Charlestown, Ind.; and four grandchildren.

 CARROLLTON, Ky.—Harry “Chuck” Hartley, 75, of Carrollton died Wednesday, June 6, 2012, at his residence.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 9. Graham-Dunn Funeral Home, 213 Fifth Street in Carrollton assisted the family with the arrangements.

Mr. Hartley was the son of the late Harry and Marguerite Hartley and the husband of the late Nina Sue Hartley.  He was a Tool and Die Maker and was the former owner of ToolCraft. He was the first employee of Dayton Walther in Carrollton and was responsible for setting up production.
