As students at Carroll County High School make final preparations for a battery of rigorous end-of-year tests, the school is being recognized by the Washing-ton Post as one of the nation’s Most Chal-lenging High Schools for its high ratio of Advanced Place-ment tests per graduates in 2012.

Carroll County Schools received a District Award – Platinum 2013 – at this year’s STLP State Championship, held March 28 at Rupp Arena in Lexington. The other school district receiving the award was Madison County.

Carroll County Middle School STLP received one of the Gold School awards. The school submitted a digital scrapbook that showed photo and anecdotal evidence of their STLP program, following the mission of STLP and that the school was meeting each of the program’s six goals.
