    This menu is for Kathryn Winn Primary and Cartmell Elementary Schools, changes for Carroll County High School and Middle School will be italicized.

     

    Thursday, Aug. 20: Breakfast: Chicken biscuit or mini cinnis and apple; lunch: Pork bites, mashed potatoes, glazed carrots with roll, grapes or pineapple tidbits. Carroll County Middle and High School will offer country-fried steak with gravy instead of pork bites for lunch.

  • Christian Academy hires its first principal

    Prayers have been answered at Christian Academy of Carrollton. As students returned from summer vacation, they were greeted by the school’s first principal, Joseph Lumbrix.

  • iLead students visit the communities in program

    In an effort to connect with their communities, students at the regional iLead Academy will embark on a scavenger hunt to the county seat on the first five Fridays of the school year.

    Students from five school districts attend iLead Academy–Carroll, Trimble, Henry, Owen and Galltin counties–and Director Larisa McKinney wants the students to learn about the culture in each community.

    The series began in New Castle Aug. 7. Students came to downtown Carrollton Aug. 14.

  • Class of 2015 CCHS graduates Gillespie, Underwood named Sen. Jeff Green Scholars

    Kathryn Gillespie and Logan Underwood, 2015 graduates of Carroll County High School,  have been named Senator Jeff Green Scholars by the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority.

    To earn this honor, a student must have a 4.0 grade point average each year of high school and at least a 28 composite on the ACT.

  • Ready Fair - gearing up for the start of school

    A large crowd attended the Ready Fair and open houses at Kathryn Winn Primary, Cartmell Elementary and Carroll County Middle School Aug. 6. School materials were provided during the Ready Fair.

    Thursday, Aug. 13: Breakfast: Sausage biscuit or mini cinnis and apple; lunch: Soft taco, lettuce/tomato, cheese/salsa/sour cream, refried beans, Mexican rice, grapes or pineapple tidbits. Carroll County middle and high schools will offer Sausage cheese bagel for breakfast and taco or chicken fajita for lunch.

  • Leave your legacy: Students to learn from alumni

    A good school district equips its graduates to make a difference in the world, and many Carroll County School District alumni are doing just that.

    This year, the district is celebrating alumni who are leaders in areas as diverse as aviation, veterinary medicine, business and web development. Through social media (#LeaveYourLegacyCC), school displays and other means, the district will help students and community members see the great things happening in the world as a result of CCSD alumni.

  • Carroll County Schools offers free breakfast, lunch this year

    Carroll County School District students and parents will notice that all students will not have to pay for breakfast or lunch this school year.

    School resumed Wednesday, Aug. 12, for students at Carroll County Schools and Christian Academy of Carrollton.
