    Two Carroll County  residents were among the 238 students that graduated from Campbellsville University in two ceremonies on Friday, Dec. 16 in Ransdell Chapel.

    Whitney Nicole Ballinger of Carrollton, Ky., received a bachelor of science in math. She is a 2007 graduate of Carroll County High School in Carrollton, Ky., and is the daughter of Gerald and Elaine Ballinger of Carrollton, Ky. She graduated magna cum laude.

  • Pascual recognized at Thomas More College’s Evening of Excellence

    Thomas More College in Crestview Hills recently recognized Sergio Pascual of Carrollton, a senior at Carroll County High School, for academic achievement at the college’s annual Evening of Excellence held Dec. 6, 2011, at Steigerwald Hall.

    The Evening of Excellence is a celebration of Thomas More College’s high-achieving applicants and recognition of their families’ support. Pascual was recently accepted to Thomas More College for the 2012-2013 academic year.

  • CCMS recognized for its work with writing project

    Carroll County Middle School and its principal, Dana Oak, were recognized as outstanding collaborative partners for the second year in a row by the Nystrand Center of Excellence in Educ-ation.  The school was recognized for its efforts toward educational initiatives through its work with the Louisville Writing Project. Oak received the award Dec. 2 at “A Celebration of Collaboration,” an awards presentation by the University of Louisville’s College of Education and Human Development and the Nystrand Center.
