  • Carroll County Middle School girls basketball takes its turn in new gym
  • EKU announces fall Dean’s List

    Eastern Kentucky University has announced that 3,445 students earned Dean’s List honors for the Fall 2015 semester.

    The list includes Carroll County students: Natalie L. Abbott, freshman, studying Elementary Education Teaching; Steven N. Abbott, junior, studying Police Studies; Jamison T. Hunt, senior, studying Recreation and Park Administration; and Russel Whitaker, senior, studying Occupational Safety.

    Thursday, Feb. 4: Sausage biscuit or mini cinnis and apple; lunch: Soft taco, lettuce/tomato, cheese/salsa/sour cream, refried beans, Mexican rice, grapes or pineapple tidbits. Carroll County Middle and High School will offer Sausage cheese bagel for breakfast and taco or chicken fajita for lunch.

  • North American Stainless helps launch Sight Word Busters

    Through the Sight Word Buster Volunteer Program, employees from North American Stainless and other groups in the community are rallying around Kathryn Winn Primary students. NAS is sending waves of volunteers to the school from Jan. 19 – 29, so that every classroom will have a volunteer every day.

    Thursday, Jan. 28: Breakfast: Chicken biscuit or mini cinnis and apple; lunch: Pork bites, mashed potatoes, glazed carrots with roll, grapes or pineapple tidbits. Carroll County Middle and High School will offer country-fried steak with gravy instead of pork bites for lunch.
