Workers from Kentucky’s Transportation Cabinet have reset timing on two city traffic lights. Carrollton Mayor Gene McMurry he has asked officials to improve the timing on lights at Highland Avenue and Fifth and Sixth streets. The mayor noted that lights at these to intersections have been slow to change, leaving motorists on cross streets sitting 5-6 minutes or more.
He said it had become a hazard because some drivers are not waiting and crossing on red because of the long delays. McMurry said the retiming on Friday has resolved these issues.
