    They say that there’s no place like home. For some graduates of Carroll County High School who have gone on to become teachers, that old saying just might be true. 

    Starting Aug. 2015, up to five new teachers in the Carroll County School District will receive a $1,000 stipend each year for up to five years. In order to qualify for the stipend, the teachers must meet the following criteria:

    Graduate of Carroll County High School.

    Holder of a valid teaching certificate.

  • Nutcracker Tea

     The Carroll County Public Library hosted its annual Nutcracker Tea for young children. Tea and other goodies were served and Santa made a visit. Jennifer Beach, Sarah Beach and Emily Beach provided live music for the event.

  • Shop with a Trooper’ helps 38 local children

    State Troopers recently spent the day with children from the counties of Henry, Trimble, Carroll, and Owen during Post 5’s annual ‘Shop with a Trooper’ program over the weekend.  KSP’s ‘Shop with a Trooper’ program is an initiative providing Troopers an opportunity to impact the lives of children in need during holiday season, while providing children a chance to have positive interaction with State Troopers.
