Five streets, four alleys and a parking lot will be paved in Carrollton this year with the alleys receiving almost half of the $57,993 budget.
City council approved the recommendation during its regular meeting Monday, Aug. 24 to spend $23,723 on four alleys with the remaining $34,270 allocated to five streets and a parking lot. Council gave approval without any questions or discussion.
Ohio Valley Asphalt won the bid in the spring and will be doing all the work, according to Susie McGee, assistant city clerk.
