  • Panthers’ results from NCKC title victory

    The boys’ tennis team tied Gallatin County in total scores, but Gallatin did not want to play a tiebreaker, giving Carroll the win in the first NCKC tournament championship.

    Raven Powers had very solid movement of the ball and took control in all of his games, head coach Juan Fernandez said. Powers had a good tournament and did not drop a set throughout the tournament. He defeated No. 1 singles for Walton-Verona, Peter Lussi; No. 1 singles for Gallatin County, Joseph Ackermann; and No. 2 singles for Gallatin County, Joseph Mullins.

  • Softball falls short on senior night, 4-3

    The Lady Panthers were a hit or a passed ball away from securing a senior night victory over the visiting Lady Dragons. Unfortunately, it was not meant to be, as Carroll (5-19) fell to South Oldham (18-13) 4-3 Friday.

    The Lady Panthers struggled with passed balls all evening, as all four runs were unearned.

  • Track briefs - May 25, 2011

    Panthers add to number qualifying for state

    With the completion of the final 3 Class A Regional Meets last weekend, the Panthers found out that three more of their events qualified for the State Track and Field Meet this Friday May 27 at the University of Louisville. Those qualifying are Evan Mefford in the 300 meter hurdles; the 4x100 meter relay team of Ben Newby, Brody Newby, Ben Schirmer and Tyler Grant; and Destiny Tingle in the girls pole vault. This brings the total number of state qualifiers from Carroll County High School to 11 individuals.

  • 2011 CCHS Volleyball camp

    The Carroll County High School volleyball team is hosting camp June 20-22 from 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. for incoming fourth graders and up at the high school gym.

    The pre-registration cost is $50 for all three days if received by June 12 or $60 at the door ($20 per day). Pre-registration information may be mailed to the high school at 1706 Highland Avenue, Attention: Kristen Arbinger, Volleyball.

  • 2011 Panther basketball camp

    Carroll County Panther Basketball camp is June 6-9 at Carroll County High School from 9 a.m. to noon. Those students, girls and boys, entering second through eighth grade may attend.

    Registration is $35 pre-registered and $40 the first day of camp. Basketball fundamentals both individually and in a team setting will be emphasized. The students will participate in teaching stations, lectures, competitions and games. Each participant will receive a camp T-shirt and certificate. Registration brochures are available at all of the Carroll County schools.
