    The motto of Carroll County High School is “Enter to Learn; Leave to Serve.” This time of year, the spirit of service is alive not only at the high school, but throughout the entire district.  The following are just a few examples of how Carroll County students are serving others in need.

  • CARROLL COUNTY COMMUNITY CALENDAR

    Wednesday, Nov. 17
    Carrollton Rotary Club meets at noon at General Butler State Resort Park.
    Carroll County High School Site Based Decision Making Council meets at 4 p.m. in the high school conference room.
    Narcotics Anonymous meets at 6:30 p.m. every Thursday at Carrollton Christian Church, 310 Fifth St.
     Alcoholics Anonymous meets 8 p.m. at Carrollton Christian Church.
    Thursday, Nov. 18
    Carrollton Homemakers Club meets at 10:30 a.m. at the Carroll County Extension Office on Floyd Drive.

  • Holiday Sale Nov. 12-13

    Worthville United Pentecostal Church will have homemade candy, baked goods, lots of Christmas decorations, handmade gifts and miscellaneous treasures for sale from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, November 12 and 13.  Lots of items for sale at affordable prices.  The sale will be in the church dining room.  For more information call 502-662-0232.

  • Apostolic church plans Christmas bazaar

    First Apostolic Church will hold its Annual Christmas Bazaar Thursday and Friday, Nov. 18 and 19, from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the First Apostolic Church, 111 Third Street in Carrollton. Gifts, crafts, candy and baked goods will be available.

  • Keeton hosts unveiling of new cookbook Nov. 18 at Butler Park

    Local chef Shawn Keeton will be hosting the grand unveiling of his new cookbook “Keeton in the Kitchen” on Nov. 18 from 6-8 p.m. at the General Butler State Resort Park Lodge. This will be the first opportunity for people to purchase a copy of the book locally and also have it signed by Keeton. The event is free and open to the public, and local and state dignitaries will also be present. Light refreshments will be served.
