A new organization sponsored by the Three Rivers District Health Department is directing its efforts toward tobacco-free schools and smoke-free communities.
The Carroll County Tobacco-Free Coalition held an informational meeting at the health department Wednesday, Oct. 12. The next meeting will be held Nov. 16 at 2 p.m.
Becky Wilson, R.N. with health department, said the goals of the coalition are to achieve 100 percent tobacco-free schools and smoke-free communities, including businesses, restaurants and public areas.
