    Items published in court news are public record. The News-Democrat publishes all misdemeanors, felonies and small-claims judgments recorded in district court, as well as all civil suits recorded in circuit court.   • Butler Park restaurant now following new winter hours

    Two Rivers Restaurant at General Butler State Resort Park is now operating with new winter hours, as part of cutbacks required in the state of Kentucky.

    The restaurant is open Sundays from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Mondays and Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

    On Wednesdays, Two Rivers operates from 11:30 a.m to 2:30 p.m. and 5-8 p.m.

    Hours for Thursday, Friday and Saturday are 7 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and 5-8 p.m.

    The new hours will run from Nov. 21 through March 15

  • Stoops accepted in honor society

    Christin Stoops, daughter of Arthur and Denia Stoops of Carrollton, recently accepted membership in Golden Key International Honour Society at a recent new member recognition event at Northern Kentucky University. The society provides academic recognition to top-performing college and university students, as well as scholarships and awards, job and internship offerings, networking, service and leadership development opportunities Stoops is a sophomore at NKU.

  • County Extension agent provides program for November Carrollton Woman’s Club

    On Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. the Carrollton Woman’s Club had its monthly meeting at the home of Mary Broberg.

    Following a pledge to the flag, Dorothy Buckner read Psalm 100 for the Spiritual Value.

  • Wraps make great use of Thanksgiving leftovers

    Happy Thanksgiving everyone. I am sure you are in the midst of preparing your holiday meal, but it is also the time to take a minute and reflect on the important things in life. I am so thankful for my five perfect grandchildren, three wonderful children, a fantastic daughter-in-law, delightful daughter-in-law to be and a very special son-in-law to be. However, the most important person I am so very thankful for is my husband. He is my rock.

    So enjoy your wonderful day, indulge in the sights, smells and food,  and be as happy as you can. It is a wonderful day.
