  • Prestonville dedicates city park

    Carroll County Judge-Executive Harold “Shorty” Tomlinson joined Prestonville Mayor Robert “Spike” Barnes Saturday in dedicating the city’s park, which has been under construction for more than a year. The county and city have worked together to “provide a place for children to have things to do and play and be safe,” Tomlinson said. Barnes thanked the county for its assistance saying the city could not have completed the park without the assistance of fiscal court.

    Carroll County High School soccer will be holding a camp on July 12-16 from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at Robert Westrick Memorial Park on Ladder Lane.
