Carrollton Mayor Robb Adams read a list of former mayor Charlie Webster’s accomplishments, including serving five terms as mayor and being a business man and family man. He was elected mayor at age 29 in 1961. Through his community service, he took on leadership roles in local organizations that dealt with industrial development, utilities, tourism, housing, public health and business development. He created safe, affordable public housing for low-income families, regardless of ethnicity, and started Webster Drugs at age 24.
