John Edward Doll

LaGRANGE, Ky — John Edward Doll, 98, died Friday, May 2, 2008 in the Hosparus  Unit of Baptist Hospital Northeast in LaGrange, Ky.

Mr Doll was born Feb. 23, 1910 in Henry County, Ky. He was the son of Jesse and Anna McManis Doll.

He was a farmer, and member of Modern Woodmen of America. He enjoyed fox hunting, fishing, horses, music and dancing.

Mr. Doll is survived by one daughter, Patricia of LaGrange; one son, Michael (Cathy) of Turners Station, Ky.; three grandsons; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Hallie Chilton of Turners Station; and one brother, Ernest Doll.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Della Lee Doll in 1985; his son, Ben Edward Doll in 1956; and one grandson, John Allen Stewart in 1983; two sisters, Rosa Stephenson and Pauline Fox; and three brothers, Frank, J.B. and William Doll.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 4 at Ransdell Funeral Home, Campbellsburg, Ky. with Reverend Carl Rucker officiating. Interment followed at Port Royal Cemetery, Port Royal, Kentucky
