  • 4-Her asks for support of Ag Tag

    Editor:

As a proud member of 4-H, I would like to share a little about what 4-H means to me and why it is important to our community. I am involved in the Carroll County 4-H activities. These 4-H programs provide me and my fellow 4-H members skills that are vital to our success in today’s global society. I know 4-H will help me to learn valuable lessons and provide me with opportunities that I wouldn’t be exposed to otherwise.

  • Thanks to Hospice Bluegrass staff

    Editor:

To our friends in Carroll County,

Snow, ice, freezing rain and subzero temperatures were a challenge to much of Kentucky last week. I was touched by the response from Hospice of the Bluegrass staff and our community as so many went to great lengths to ensure homebound hospice patients continued to receive medical and nursing care despite the severe weather.

Thank you for allowing me to come in and speak about my history of drug abuse and how my life has been turned around. Thank you for helping me move forward with my life.

  • Spay-neuter donations sought

    Editor:

I am organizing a lower cost spay-neuter project for Carroll County this spring. As a volunteer, my goal is two-fold. I hope to help some Carroll County pet owners who could not otherwise afford to have their pets spayed or neutered. And I hope to help some helpless cats and dogs stop the breeding cycle that results in hundreds of homeless kittens and puppies.
