We would like to extend a huge “thank you” to the following people and places for making our float such a huge success for the Tobacco Festival. 

To Lloyd Jackson, thank you for putting up with us and allowing us to use your garage and equipment for the parade for the past three weeks to make this all possible.

To JJ Ward, Sports Obsession and Convenient, thanks to all of you for not only your hard work, but your great ideas and dedication to seeing that we had one beautiful float and finished in time.

We are truly blessed to live in a geographical area that has three rivers, an interstate highway and railroad. This has enabled the county to draw several internationally known industries and businesses to this area producing numerous jobs for local people and greatly increasing the revenue for Carroll and surrounding counties. For this I am grateful.

On behalf of every member of the Carrollton Rotary Club, allow me to express my sincere thanks to the following businesses and individuals for their support of and participation in our annual Scholarship Golf Scramble at General Butler State Resort Park Sept. 14. 

Early estimates indicate that more than $7,000 dollars was raised that will be awarded at the end of the school year to deserving college-bound seniors.

We greatly appreciate the cordial support the great people of Carroll County and its organizations provided to the Kentucky Army National Guard. Your gracious donations allowed our Carrollton-based Kentucky National Guard Unit to raise funds that directly benefit our soldiers and their families. Your dedicated support of Kentucky’s brave soldiers represents your organization well. I assure you that your affection means a great deal to every soldier and your actions do not go unnoticed.
