We at Carroll County Animal Support are very excited about all of you who have recently stepped up to the plate and joined our “cause for the animals.”

On Thursday, Sept. 1 at 6:30 p.m., we will be hosting our first full membership meeting at the Old Court House, second floor meeting room. For only a $5 membership donation you will receive both a membership card and a folder of information, including our brochure and program cards.

Saturday, Oct. 3, 2009, marked a memorable date for the small community of English, Ky. —the first English Grade School reunion.

It was so well received and attended that the first Saturday in October was established as the date for subsequent annual school reunions.

Last year saw the event in combination with a bazaar atmosphere where homemade items and crafts were available for sale.

The franchise agreement the city of Carrollton recently accepted with Rumpke Inc. not only reduced the monthly fee by $3, but also included the use of a 90-gallon roll-around trash container for citizens of Carrollton. 

To obtain one of these trash containers, call Michelle at (502) 568-3800, Ext. 7445. 

Rumpke also has a large trash container at its facility on Ladder Lane, which is available to residents during business hours –
8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Carroll County Animal Support is proud to be a part of this community and of the support that we receive from the community. 

At our recent Yard Sale and Adoption Event held this past month, we were amazed at the amount of items donated for the yard sale from organizations and individuals.
