I wish to thank the Rumpke Family and the employees of Rumpke Waste Management for co-sponsoring the first annual Carrollton Cleanup Day. I also want to thank Mike Humphrey, Jailer, and the inmates for their assistance as well as the Carrollton Public Works employees. 

Even though not as many citizens took advantage of the opportunity to discard unwanted articles as I had hoped for, there was enough participation to merit another day next year.

I would like to take a moment to thank Coach Jay Jones for the wonderful job  he did again this year making the Bob Coots Legends Game such a successful event.

Even with the rainy weather we all had a wonderful time. This event  means so much to me and to my entire family. 

Jay’s hard work and dedication  is appreciated beyond words.

This community has always been very supportive of the WHAS Crusade for Children. As a member of the Carrollton Fire Department, I want to thank you for your past support of the Crusade and, again, appeal to you for your continued support of this great cause as Crusade kickoff is upon us.

Since 1956 when the first fire department in Kentucky joined forces with WHAS to pledge their support to disabled children, fire departments now raise approximately fifty percent of donations pledged each year in Kentuckiana.
