Carrollton Utilities staff would like to thank local photographer Jim Fothergill for sharing his time and photographs with us. All the photos in the Water Quality Reports that were recently mailed to our customers were taken by Jim.  

This was yet another example of how generous Jim is with his time in supporting the community plus an example of his photography skills.

I would like to express my opinion on long-term camping at the city’s Two Rivers RV Park.  I think it would be better to keep  the length of time at our new facility to short-term and not to let campers stay for six months at a time. We want it to stay like a campground, not a trailer park.

I would like to thank you for your recent editorial on the new RV Park in Carrollton. When the idea of an RV Park was brought up we were assured then and at public meetings later that there would be no long term bookings. One of the best things the city has done was to purchase and pull down the permanent trailers that blotted the landscape around our city park and we certainly do not want to go back there.

I would like to take this opportunity to say “thank you” to everyone who was involved in the 2012 Carroll County Relay for Life.  Without the support of those who came out and enjoyed the festivities, the teams, survivors, sponsors and committee members, this event would not have taken place.  Thank you goes out to the National Guard Armory, C.C. Downey and Kroger for their contribution to the Daddy Daughter Dance that was held in April.
