  • Public employees hurt taxpayers by misusing voting time

    Bowling Green Daily News

Voting in this country is a privilege and a civic responsibility.

  • State offers many holiday options for families to celebrate together

With less than two weeks to go before Christmas, the window to buy gifts and take part in seasonal activities is quickly drawing to a close.

The good news is that, if you’re still unsure of what to get or what to do, there is still time to bring everything together and to do it in a way that highlights Kentucky’s unique nature.

  • Rand outlines state’s business developments this past year

The year may be about over, but from an economic standpoint, it won’t soon be forgotten.

  • Enjoy the holidays, but don’t let them ruin your progress

As much as your training requires you being honest with yourself in the gym, something else you must be honest about is food intake! Are you sure you know exactly what you’re eating, every day?

Many people make the fatal error of grossly misjudging what they’re actually consuming. With Christmas around the corner, there’s no better time to talk about the reality of food intake.

  • Report shows challenges facing law enforcement

To get a better understanding of what our law enforcement officers do every day, all one has to do is flip through two comprehensive reports that the Kentucky State Police compile annually on serious crimes and traffic accidents.

  • Shopping local has a huge impact

    The Jessamine Journal

By now most people are making that list and checking it twice, channeling their inner Santa Claus.

Many people can tell you exactly how many shopping days remain until Christmas. Others, like myself, have lots of people to buy for still.

Hopefully everyone will try to match up that shopping list with local stores that can meet those needs.

Shopping local is critical to our community as small businesses are the lifeblood that truly keep us strong.

  • Praise for bridge repair

    Editor:

To the crew that worked on the bridge going to Worthville. I don’t know who you are but you did an awesome job fixing the bridge.

Thank you so much. Most bridges you bump getting on and bump getting off but this bridge is so smooth. Just wanted you to know a lot of people out there are saying “thank you”. You deserve it!

  • Keep Carrollton clean, reader suggests

    Editor,

I moved to Carrollton seven years ago from Pennsylvania and have enjoyed living here, there is so much to enjoy with the two rivers, beautiful flowering trees in the spring, Point Park, and I must say very friendly people.

Recently I saw an article that stated Carrollton was numbered in the top ten Ghetto towns in Kentucky and I wondered why, when it is such a nice little town to live in.
