    The  money will help us continue to provide outreach services and deliver more than 1,300 prescriptions to more than 35 residents in your county.

  • Rotary offers guitar signed by George Jones

    The Carrollton Rotary Club is deeply saddened to learn of the death of legendary country singer George Jones. During his last visit to Carrollton, George was kind enough to sign a guitar for the Carrollton Rotary Club to raffle.

    Carrollon Rotary Club will be selling tickets for $10 each for this autographed guitar through Saturday, May 11, when we hold our annual pancake breakfast. All funds raised from the raffle will go toward the annual scholarships the Rotary club awards each year.

    For many of our subscribers, our recent delivery of The News-Democrat fell short of the good service they expect.

    A variety of different issues that cropped up over the past couple of months led to late deliveries for folks who are used to finding their newspaper in their mailbox on Wednesdays.

    Our team at The News-Democrat, with support from other offices within our company and the plant that prints the newspaper, have worked diligently to resolve these issues.
