  • CCAS president is proud of group’s accomplishments

    For several years, I’ve served as president of Carroll County Animal Support, and my friend JoAnn Parker has served as vice president. Both JoAnn and I have decided it’s time for us step down from these positions and let others lead the group.

    CCAS will meet at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 12, at Welch’s Riverside Restaurant to elect new officers for the board.

  • Contest was a success

    I would like to thank the generous people who entered the Vision of Sugar Plums cooking contest held at McNeal’s during A Christmas Carroll Dec. 5.  There were 62 beautiful desserts turned in for a chance to win a new range from McNeal’s. I could see the time and special attention the people put into their desserts.

  • Support made food drive a big success

    To the citizens of Carroll County, we’d like to thank you all for your contributions to the recent "Scouting for Food" food drive. Your generosity is much appreciated.  

    As previously communicated, the 2008 count was eclipsed by nearly 1,700 items, approximately 14,800 items in all….this despite a continued sour economy. This was awesome.

    The Carroll County Schools continue to do an outstanding job of supporting the food pantry – couldn’t do it without you.
