The Carroll County Middle School boys basketball team headed off to Thanksgiving break on a high note, picking up a pair of wins over the visiting Trimble County Raiders Nov. 21. The seventh-graders got back on the right foot after losing their first game of the season three days before in the conference championship, winning in commanding fashion, 47-15.
The CCMS eighth-graders trailed by five points at halftime, but chipped away at the deficit. They took the lead with less than a minute to go and held on to win, 28-25.
