The Carroll County High School baseball team will conduct a youth baseball camp Sunday afternoons from April 14-May 5.
The CCHS coaching staff and current players will be conducting the four-week camp. It is not mandatory to attend all four sessions, but it is recommended. Camp will be held at the Carroll County Conditioning Center (located next to the Carroll County Area Technology Center) and at CCHS baseball field (weather permitting). The camp is open to boys and girls and will be divided into two groups depending on age and skill level.
A free Kentucky Hunters Education class will be taught Friday, March 15 and Saturday, March 16 at the Carroll County Extension Building located at 500 Floyd Drive in Carrollton. This is a ten hour course covering hunter ethics, firearms safety, first aid, survival wildlife identification and more. The class will run for three hours on Friday evening beginning at 6 p.m. and seven hours on Saturday beginning at 8 a.m. For additional information contact Tom Dapron (502) 732-5120.
The Carroll County High School and Carroll County Middle School cheerleaders competed at Adair County High School Saturday, Feb. 16 and were named Cheer LTDs Southern Kentucky Varsity Non-Tumble Champions. CCHS will compete in the JamFest Nationals in Louisville March 23-24. CCMS will compete in Cheer LTD Nationals in Myrtle Beach March 15-17.
Senior Jessica Price was named Senior Cheer Individual Champion. Jessica Peck, Jasmine Beach, Doodle Amick, Darian Skirvin and Price also were named Senior Group Stunt 2nd-runner up.
Carroll County Parks and Recreation 2013 youth baseball and softball registration will be held from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday through Friday from Feb. 11-March 1 at the parks and recreation office on the third floor of the downtown county courthouse.
