  • "Panther Express" returns to Lexington

    Senior Justin Ray threw his first career no-hitter Friday, April 29, as the Carroll County Panthers rolled, 6-0, over Kentucky Country Day en route to their third straight trip to the state All ‘A’ Tournament at Whitaker Bank Ballpark in Lexington, Ky. The Panthers will take on Owensboro Catholic at noon Saturday, May 7.

  • Track and field competes at NCKTC meet

    The Carroll County High School track and field team competed in the North Central Kentucky Track Conference meet April 28, at Henry County High School.

    Guillermo Cruz won first place in the 1600-meter run with a time of 5 minutes 9.12 seconds. He also brought home a third place finish in the 800-meter run with a time of 2 minutes 21.49 seconds.

    Overall, the teams finished in last place in the divisions. Presentation Academy won first place for the girls, while Owen County won first place in the boys’ division.

  • Panthers shut out against Simon Kenton, fall 3-0

    Sometimes teams need a wake up call to get them back on track, and Monday night’s ball game against Simon Kenton may have been just that for the Carroll County Panthers’ baseball team. The team’s effort was not up to par for head coach Jimmy Ray, as the players struggled at the plate, losing 3-0.

  • Tennis seniors play in final home match

    Senior Bobby Perkins and Dru Walker played in their final home game Friday, as the Carroll County tennis teams played Spencer County.

    No. 1 singles Perkins won his match, 6-0, 6-1, while Walker and No. 1 doubles partner J.J. Fernandez lost their match 1-6, 2-6. Also for the boys, No. 2 doubles pair David Jimenez and Austin Harsin lost 1-6, 1-6.

  • Softball drops close road game to Henry

    The Lady Panthers’ road trip to New Castle April 22, resulted in a 5-2 loss to Henry County. The Lady Panthers held an early lead and battled, but defensive mistakes in the bottom of the sixth made a comeback difficult.

  • Lady Panthers softball defeats Lady Rebels, 10-5

    A strong pitching performance by Andrea Searcy and timely hitting powered Carroll County to a 10-5 district win over the visiting Owen County Lady Rebels Saturday.

  • Panthers’ bats blazing at Madison Tournament

    The Panthers baseball team rebounded from a Friday night loss to Madison Consolidated High School to defeat Shawe Memorial and Madison Consolidated in a rematch Saturday in the Madison Courier Invitational Tournament. Seniors Justin Ray and Alex Burns were named to the All-Tournament Team.
