  • Lady Raiders win over Lady Panthers on Senior Night

    The Trimble County Lady Raiders closed out their regular season by claiming a 5-2 win over border rival Carroll County while sending their four seniors out in a big way on Senior Night.

    Carroll County’s Kyra Kane scored a run in the first inning to put the Lady Panthers on the scoreboard. Kane drew a walk, was advanced to second on a fielder’s choice ground out, then scored on a single by Mackenzie Hawkins.

  • Carroll offense hot, then stalls as Bellevue steals a win, 5-4, May 15

    After taking a 4-0 lead in the bottom of the second, the Carroll County High School baseball team allowed visiting Bellevue to get back in the game and steal a 5-4 win Friday, May 15. 

    “We’ve been like that all year,” head coach Jimmy Ray said. “I don’t know how many times this season we’ve got a big lead on somebody and never put them away.”

  • Panthers advance to district title with 7-1 win over Gallatin

    Carroll County took the first step towards repeating as 31st District champions as the Panthers defeated Gallatin County 7-1.

    The Panther received another strong pitching performance from sophomore Seth Hicks as he allowed only two hits while striking out 10 and walking two. He picked up his fourth win of the season.

    The Panthers came out a little flat at the start of the game as Gallatin freshman pitcher Austin Spada kept them off balance through the first two innings.

  • Hawkins named All-Conference
  • Lady Panthers fall in Round 2 to Henry, 4-0

    The Lady Panthers’ season came to a close Tuesday night in the second round of the 31st District Tournament. Carroll County lost to Henry County, 4-0. Kyra Kane and Houston Lindsay were named to the All-Tournament team.

    It also marked the end of a high school softball career for lone Lady Panther senior Mackenzi Hawkins.

  • Corbin advances to State

    Malachi Corbin qualified in the discus event for the Kentucky State Track Meet after a third-place performance May 16, at the 5th Region Class A meet at Danville. The state meet will be held May 22-23, at the University of Kentucky Track and Field Complex inLexington.

    The Carroll County High School track and field boys and girls teams both finished 10th in team scores. Lexington Christian won first place for boys and girls.

  • Carroll wins first round over EHS

    It was an all-around solid performance for the No. 4 seed Carroll County Lady Panthers softball team Monday, as they took care of business in the first round of the 31st District Tournament, defeating No. 5 seed Eminence 7-1, at Owen County. Carroll will take on No. 1 seed Henry County Tuesday.

    Senior Mackenzi Hawkins led the way at the plate, going 3-4, including a triple, and two RBIs.

    The Carroll County Lady Panthers defeated Walton-Verona on the road May 4, winning 9-7 in nine innings.
