Unlimited hydroplanes due at Doha, Qatar

The Hoegh Dubai, carrying the H1 Unlimited Hydroplane fleet, was to arrive in Doha, Qatar on Thursday, Nov. 4 (Friday, Nov. 5 in Qatar), according to the Web site www.h1unlimited.com.

The hydroplanes are in the Middle East for the Qatar Marine Sports Federation’s 2010 Oryx Cup UIM World Championship. The event will be held November 18-20 on Doha Bay.

Kentucky Speedway will host Sprint Cup race in 2011

With a Sprint Cup race car as a backdrop and surrounded by NASCAR and state government dignitaries, Speedway Motorsports Inc. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Bruton Smith announced that Kentucky Speedway will play host to its inaugural 400-mile NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Saturday, July 9, 2011.
