The Lady Panther tennis team took a win from border rival Gallatin County in their season opener last week.
“I saw a lot of bright spots and a lot of deficiencies in our first meet,” head coach Larry Morgan said of his team. The varsity won all five matches and the junior varsity won all three matches.
Singles: No. 1 singles, Katerina Woods C.C. defeated Brooke Clark G.C. 6-2, 7-5; No. 2 singles, Priya Patel, C.C. defeated Anna Beth Edens, G.C. 6-2, 6-0; and No. 3 singles, Miriam Jones, C.C. defeated Christine Barlow, G.C. 6-0, 6-0.
