Carrollton Fire Department golf scramble at 2 p.m. at Fairway Golf Course. Proceeds benefit the CFD Christmas With A Fireman program and/or WHAS Crusade For Children. Cost is $60 for non-member golfers and $50 for member golfers. For more information, contact Brandon Terrell, (859) 992-6588.

General Butler State Resort Park and community volunteers will plant 84 trees near the front entrance of the park as a part of phase one of reforesting the park. Volunteers will meet for a continental breakfast at 9 a.m. at the mezzanine. Planting will occur from 9:45 a.m.-noon.

Friday, May 4

General Butler State Resort Park hosts Park After Dark at the convention center from 6:30 p.m.-midnight. The event features music by Kirbys Dreamland. Pioneer Tractor Show, Point Park, annual antique tractor show, come see the tools that made the United States the agricultural power that it was.
