Carrollton Fire Department golf scramble at 2 p.m. at Fairway Golf Course. Proceeds benefit the CFD Christmas With A Fireman program and/or WHAS Crusade For Children. Cost is $60 for non-member golfers and $50 for member golfers. For more information, contact Brandon Terrell, (859) 992-6588.

General Butler State Resort Park and community volunteers will plant 84 trees near the front entrance of the park as a part of phase one of reforesting the park. Volunteers will meet for a continental breakfast at 9 a.m. at the mezzanine. Planting will occur from 9:45 a.m.-noon.

Friday, May 4

General Butler State Resort Park hosts Park After Dark at the convention center from 6:30 p.m.-midnight. The event features music by Kirbys Dreamland.
